Michael Erin, CEO of Progressive Management
In 2016, Michael Erin joined Progressive Management and leads the organization as its CEO. Progressive Management (“PM”) is an advisory services firm specializing in comprehensive practice management, valuation & transition services, practice brokerage, and advisory support to the dental and healthcare industries.
Mr. Erin is a licensed business broker by the Secretary of State of the State of Illinois and Indiana. Michael is an active member of the Practice Valuation Study Group, a national organization of valuation experts and The National Association of Practice Brokers (NAPB). His valuation expertise is utilized when valuing healthcare and law practices, and other professional businesses for purposes of purchase, sale, court testimony, and estate planning and financial planning.
Mr. Erin received his undergraduate degree in Economics & Business from The Virginia Military Institute. He attended Harvard University and The University of North Carolina for Professional Development Programs in Corporate Finance and Economic Development.
As a former U.S. Army Captain, who served in the military from September 2001 to late 2012, Michael was responsible for managing military operations in medicine and safety for more than 200 soldiers. Captain Erin went on to successfully graduate from the Health Services, Plans, Operations, Intelligence, Security, and Training course in 2011 awarding him his second area of concentration. He utilizes his military values, work ethic, and love of learning to maintain the highest standards of excellence as a management consultant and valuation specialist.
Michael and the Progressive Management team have been guest lecturers teaching practice administration and principles of valuation at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry, Loyola University Dental School, Northwestern University Dental School, Case Western Reserve Dental School, Clark University in Tel Aviv, Israel and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Their lectures in Illinois qualify for continuing professional education for the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship and Mastership credit.
